We flew into San Francisco, rented a car, and proceeded to drive
north on US Highway 101 to Arcata.

ARCATA BOTTOMS
The Bottoms is a low and flat land feature behind the dunes
bordering the Pacific Ocean. Early one morning, I drove
into the Bottoms, intending to continue to Mad River Beach
to photograph the seashore. I made so many stops to
photography the scenery in the Bottoms that (on that day),
I didn't make it to my beach destination. Life Is Good!

MAD RIVER BEACH
(No relation to the River boy)
Another morning and another drive...  This time I parked near the
Pacific Ocean at Mad River Beach and walked about
2 hours, blissfully in my element. (I am from Daytona Beach.)

Yep, this is Kelp!

MOONSTONE BEACH
This is the first of a series of eight images of one of my world-
wide favorite places to photograph, Moonstone Beach, located
south of Trinidad.
