Ephemeral Light

The light switch clicks on, then off. The eight images of this post were made on a boat tour at Wakulla Springs earlier this week during the all too brief sunny blue-sky days. The clouds moved in the next day, and it rained all all day yesterday. It will be partly cloudy today and bright clear skies are forecast tomorrow. This is the recent weather cycle, on/off and on/off several times each week.  I am thankful for the diverse and abundant wildlife and for the Wakulla Spring and River.

Wildlife images during Jan 27 Wakulla Springs river boat tour

Optionally, click on a photo for a larger view and slide show

One of my new year resolutions is to photograph wildlife at least once each month on a river boat tour at Wakulla Springs. This is my January 2014 installment of great egret, male hooded merganser, great blue heron, little blue heron, double-crested cormorant, and american alligator. Yes, the gator in last photograph is the boss of the office, Joe Junior!
