Sinkhole Sublime
These two images were taken earlier this week at a sinkhole called Gobetween, southeast of the Leon Sinks Geological Area. This is a flowing sink, with the water rising in the foreground of the photo and sinking again in the background, probably to rise and sink again at Riversink.

Between Summer Showers
This photo was taken yesterdau in the late morning, from the shoreline of a small freshwater lake on Mashes Sands island. The 'cloudy bright' lighting provided for rich saturated color.

Sopchoppy River
This high dynamic range (=HDR) image is a combination of 4 bracketed photos taken earlier this month with a Canon 40d on a sturdy tripod. The longest exposure was 4 seconds to blur the moving foam.
Of all the photos that I have taken over the years, this image best communicates what I see and how I feel about the Sopchoppy River: wild-dark-deep channels + fantastic-shaped cypress knees + steep banks with so-green foliage = an invaluable treasure.
