This is a collection of photos taken early Saturday morning at Mashes Sands.
Some of these images are pretty much right from the camera, while others were enhanced TO THE EXTREME with increased color saturation and HDR blends of 3 to 5 bracketed photos.
These images are the result of a foray into the floodplain swamp of the Ochlockonee River at Porter Lake, walking upriver along the western shoreline ... on a cold, cold and cold overcast grey morning. Yep it was cold. What a marvelous place! The dark water swirling around bloated tupelo trees, cypress knees over head high, and a fallen tree that looked like an alien creature.

These four photos were taken late in the afternoon of tupelo trees at Mack Lake, cypress trees at Porter Lake and along the Forest Road 13 bridge over the Ochlockonee River.
