My cup is over half full ... with ICE!

North Florida received a blast of sub-freezing arctic air earlier this month. Minimum temperatures were 22 and 26 degrees on January 7 and 8. These photos were taken on one of the periodic photo mornings that David Moynahan and I share, the morning of January 8. We spent about 3 hours photographing the most beautiful ice I have ever seen. Successive layers of water froze in a shallow depression within 100 feet of Highway 98 east of Medart during the previous two frigid nights. The variety of intricate patterns in the ice exceeded my imagination.

Blog Technical Stuff: The delay in posting these photos was caused by an incompatibility that developed recently between Google blogger and Microsoft Internet Explorer. The problem was resolved by my downloading and using Google Chrome as my internet browser to post this blog.
