Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park Vacation - August 30 to September 10, 2019

We planned and made reservations over a year in advance for our bucket list vacation to the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The thermal features and wildlife of Yellowstone and the high mountains of Grand Teton were amazing! Our arrival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming was delayed by 2 days because of weather at our layover location in Dallas, Texas. This reduced our time in Grand Teton. Our national park lodging for Yellowstone was the Old Faithful Inn and the Canyon Lodge.

I hope you enjoy viewing these 37 photos.

Geyser Hill Trail, a short walk from the Old Faithful Inn.

Trudy along the Geyser Hill Trail. The temperature in the early
mornings was in the mid to high 40's.

The colors of the hot water in the thermal pools spanned the entire
spectrum.

Note the feathers on the bill of this Raven. They extend over
the nares to filter the air the bird breathes in, especially while
flying.

Yellowstone is where the buffalo roam ,,, hundreds of these
massive creatures! This one was in Lamar Valley.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone ... was
indeed GRAND! This is the view from
Lockout Point of Lower Falls.

We experienced occasional bison-jams,
when the bison walk the roads, causing
cars to stop.

Trudy along the Inspiration Point Trail.

Another view from Artist Point.

I walked down the steep trail to the brink of the Lower Falls.

These large boulders along the Yellowstone River Overlook

The lack foothills bordering these tall Teton Mountain Range
make them appear all the more ginormous!
