Florida Governor Rick Scott has changed DEP from the "Department of Environmental Protection" to his agency of "Don't Expect Protection".

VOTE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Amendment 1 was approved by 75% of voters in Florida for spending one-third of real estate taxes to purchase lands to  protect parks, water supplies, and wildlife habitat. But the Florida legislature voted to use much of this money for routine expenses. 

This is a good year to support pro-environment candidates in the 2016 fall elections.
