crossed Avery Creek.

Cove adjacent to Devil's Courthouse

A wider view of the same cove.

Late afternoon view from the Devil's Courthouse overlook.

This was our first vacation to enjoy the spectacle of the fall
color in the Blue Ridge.

We hiked the short but steep trail to the top of Devil's
Courthouse. This is the view from the summit.

Looking Glass Falls is, for good reason, one
of  the most photographed waterfalls in the
region. It is adjacent to US 76 highway, only
9 miles north of Brevard, NC.

Closeup of rapidly flowing water at Bull Sluice on the
Chattooga River, located 8 miles east of Clayton, Georgia

We were fortunate to see several kayakers run the Bull Sluice
rapids.

Denton Branch Falls, located east of
Clayton, Georgia.

Denton Branch ... what a sweet mountain stream!

  1. Lovely, as always, Bob. But then, how can you miss with such beautiful fall color in stream/falls-laden mountains!
